Yasleh eases Newcastle fans' fears over Elanga injury

Matthias Jaissle, the head coach of Newcastle United, has reassured fans regarding the condition of Swedish winger Anthony Elanga, confirming that the injury he sustained during the friendly match against Valencia does not appear to be serious, despite the concerning manner in which the player left the pitch.

Elanga suffered a strong challenge from Valencia captain José Gayà during the first half, causing the match to be halted amid significant tension. The player received treatment and was carried off the pitch on a stretcher, while the referee showed a red card to Gayà.

Yaisle stated that he felt scared at first due to the intensity of the tackle, but he became more at ease after the coaching staff received positive signals from the medical team, confirming that initial tests indicate no serious injury, with the possibility of the player returning to training next week.
