Genoa has entered the race to sign young German goalkeeper Max Weiss, currently with Burnley, during the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping position ahead of the new season.

Reports indicate that the Italian club has shown interest in signing the goalkeeper, who moved to Burnley in the summer of 2025 on a contract that runs until 2029.

Faiss, 22, is regarded as one of the most promising goalkeepers in Germany after shining with Karlsruhe before his move to Burnley. The English club sees him as a future first-choice keeper, despite the current competition for his position.

According to reports, Genoa is keeping an eye on the player's situation in anticipation of a possible acquisition, either on loan or through another deal, should he receive a greater opportunity for playing time.

However, the available reports so far do not confirm any advanced negotiations or agreement between the two clubs, but only indicate interest from the Italian side.
