De Rossi: Victory over Juventus is the result of the players' work
Daniele De Rossi, the manager of Genoa, spoke about his team's win against Juventus, commending the level of play exhibited by his players and the collective spirit they showed during the match. He emphasized that the victory was a culmination of the hard work the team has put in over the past period.
Daniele De Rossi said in statements to "DAZN": "It was a beautiful match, we played with heart and soul, and we showed some good moments, we are very happy. We evaluated the players' characteristics, and I wanted to place Baldanzi in a position that allows him to move more freely, away from direct marking. He has been training well despite his limited appearances."
He added: "We made between 5 and 6 changes compared to the last match, and this victory represents the culmination of the work done by the players. I started thinking about coaching early, when I was 25 or 26 years old, and as I got older, I thought more about my second career. I am not defeating anyone on my own; it is about the team, but I challenge these big names in the coaching world."
Genoa's coach stated: "I have beaten Spalletti and Gasperini, who are two coaches that have inspired me a lot, and I respect them greatly and try to learn from them. Whether I win or lose, the credit goes to the players, they are the ones who make the difference on the pitch."
Daniele De Rossi concluded his remarks by praising Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti, saying: "Spalletti is the coach who taught me and transferred to me more than any other coach, alongside my father, and he is the one who made me want to enter the world of coaching. I have worked with incredibly strong coaches, like Antonio Conte and Luis Enrique, but Luciano is the strongest among them all."
