Juventus and AS Roma compete for rising Genoa talent

Samuel Wiafe, the young midfielder from Genoa, has caught the attention of Juventus and AS Roma due to his recent performances, which have attracted the interest of several Italian clubs looking to strengthen their squads with promising talents.

According to Italian media reports, citing the newspaper "Tuttosport", both clubs are monitoring the development of the 18-year-old player, who has started to receive more opportunities with Genoa's first team under coach Daniele De Rossi.

Genoa have signed Samuel Wiafe from Modena during the last summer transfer window for around €2.5 million, plus bonuses, signing a contract that runs until 2030 as part of the club's plans to invest in young talent.

Juventus have previously shown interest in the player, considering bringing him into their youth team 'Juventus Next Gen' before gradually promoting him to the first team, while AS Roma are also monitoring his development.

Reports indicate that both clubs are still in the monitoring phase, with no confirmations regarding official negotiations to finalize the deal.
