Manchester United and Newcastle Compete for Andre Santos

Manchester United and Newcastle United are competing to sign Chelsea midfielder Andre Santos during the summer transfer window, while the London club is holding out for £50 million for the player's sale.

According to "CaughtOffside," Manchester United sees 22-year-old Santos as a strong addition to their midfield but is reluctant to meet Chelsea's asking price to finalize the deal.

The report added that the player has not received regular playing opportunities at Chelsea, while "The Guardian" confirmed Newcastle's interest in acquiring the Brazilian midfielder as well.

"CaughtOffside" explained that Manchester United is exploring other options to strengthen their midfield, including Bournemouth's Alex Scott, in preparation for next season's Champions League competition.

Meanwhile, Newcastle may pursue Santos if Bruno Guimarães departs this summer, especially with Sandro Tonali nearing a move to Tottenham.

Santos's future remains uncertain as both clubs await the possibility of reaching an agreement with Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
