Inter Milan Plans to Sign Arsenal Goalkeeper
Inter Milan's management is considering signing Spanish goalkeeper Kepa, a player from Arsenal, to be a replacement for goalkeeper Josep Martinez in the next season, according to press reports.
The newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" clarified that Inter Milan plans to rely on Josep Martinez as a replacement for Yann Sommer, while looking for an experienced goalkeeper to strengthen the bench and support the goalkeeping position.
The newspaper added that the club had previously considered Tottenham's goalkeeper Vicario as their first choice. However, his high financial value, along with Martinez's good performance, prompted the management to reassess their plan.
Reports have indicated that Martinez, despite participating in only 10 matches this season, may have a larger role in the new season, given the coaching staff's confidence in his performance level.
Kepa, aged 31, is among the top options being considered, especially after his move to Arsenal and his appearance in 11 matches this season, as he possesses extensive experience in European competitions.
It is noted that Kepa has previously won the UEFA Champions League twice, in addition to the UEFA Europa League, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup, along with domestic titles in England and Spain.
