Arsenal suffer shock as Saka faces two-month absence
Arsenal have suffered a major blow after their English star Bukayo Saka sustained a muscular injury that could keep him out for at least 6 weeks, with the possibility of his absence extending to 8 weeks, according to reports.
Bukayo Saka suffered an injury during Arsenal's match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, which ended in a 2-2 draw. He was forced to leave the pitch after just about 10 minutes into the game, amid fears of the severity of the injury.
Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the player will undergo further medical tests to assess the severity of the injury, explaining that the presence of fluid accumulation in the affected area complicated the initial evaluation. The club is awaiting the test results to determine the exact duration of the absence.
Bukayo Saka's potential absence could significantly impact Arsenal's title ambitions, especially with important matches approaching in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta will have to look for suitable alternatives to compensate for one of the team's key attacking players.
