West Ham Sets Price for Selling Matheus Fernandes
West Ham United is preparing for a complicated summer regarding the future of midfielder Matheus Fernandes, amidst interest from Premier League clubs.
The recent defeat against Arsenal has brought the team closer to the relegation battle, which could open the door for the departure of several players.
The club has set a value of £84 million to part with Fernandes, in an attempt to deter interested parties, most notably Manchester United, according to 'Football Insider'.
The player moved to West Ham from Southampton in a deal worth £38 million and has delivered impressive performances this season despite the team's declining results.
Fernandes has participated in 34 Premier League matches and received his first international call-up with the Portugal national team.
Manchester United is among the most interested in signing him, as part of their plans to strengthen the midfield in the upcoming period.
