MP Mostafa Abu Zahra, a member of the board of the Egyptian Football Association, revealed the fate of the complaint filed by Al Ahly players Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mahmoud Trezeguet, and Hussein El-Shahat against Mahmoud Wafa, the referee of the match between Al Ahly and Ceramica in the league.

In a press statement, Abu Zahra said: "The complaint has been referred to the referees' committee to internally summon the match referee, as is customary, and to review everything mentioned in the complaint during and after the match to preserve the rights of all parties. I emphasize the mutual respect among all elements of the football system."

He clarified: "What happened during the reception of the Al-Ahly delegation was due to insufficient coordination. The Football Association always emphasizes its full welcome to everyone affiliated with Al-Ahly, which has a great history, and all Egyptian clubs."

He concluded: "The Football Association will remain a big home for everyone, serving the common good of the national teams and the game of football."

Al Ahly is preparing to play a match against Pyramids next Monday in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League title decider stage.

Al Ahly is currently in third place in the league championship group standings with 44 points.
