Highlights of Rashid Jaber's Talk Before the Duhok Match
Friday 17-04-2026
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club held its press conference for the anticipated match against Duhok tomorrow evening, Saturday, at Duhok Stadium, as part of the 29th round of the Iraqi Stars League. Coach Rashid Jaber and defender Ramadan Sadiq spoke about the importance of the meeting, emphasizing that the leader enters the match with high concentration despite the difficulty of playing in the north and against a team looking to regain balance.

Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's coach, Rashid Jaber, began his talk by confirming the difficulty of the confrontation despite the ranking differences between the two teams: "We are facing an important match against a team playing on its home ground and among its fans. Duhok has a distinguished coaching staff and high-level players, and they have previously defeated us in the first leg 2-0, which alone is enough to know that the task will not be easy."

Jaber added: "The league is still open, and with ten rounds remaining until the end, anything is possible in football. We do not operate under the logic that the title is decided; we play every match as if it's a final. The eight-point difference with Al-Shorta is good, but it means nothing if we do not continue to win."

Regarding the secret of the "Hawks'" distinction this season, the coach explained: "What distinguishes Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya this season is the unified spirit and the solidarity of everyone from management, technical staff, players, and fans. Everyone is working to return the team to its natural place at the top and to continue the journey steadily towards the desired goal, which is the league title. This spirit is our weapon at Duhok Stadium tomorrow."

For his part, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya defender Ramadan Sadiq confirmed that the team has moved past the thrill of the last-minute victory over Al-Kahraba 3-2, and its focus is now entirely on Duhok. He said: "We are fully prepared physically and mentally. We have closed the chapter on the previous match with all it entailed, and the focus is now solely on tomorrow's match against Duhok."

Sadiq continued: "We are well aware of Duhok's strength and know what good elements they have capable of making a difference, especially when playing at their home ground. Therefore, adhering to the coaching staff's instructions on the field will be our key to achieving a positive result. If we implement what the coach asked for to the letter, we will return to Baghdad with the three points."

The "Hawks" defender concluded with a message to the club's fans: "God willing, we will achieve a positive result that will please our loyal fans and the Hawks' lovers everywhere. We know they are waiting for the title from us this season, and we as players bear the responsibility and strive to make them happy in every round."

As for Duhok, they enter the match in 12th place with 37 points, coming from two consecutive losses against Amanat Baghdad and Al-Karma. The "Northern Hawks" want to exploit the home and crowd factors to stop the bleeding of points and repeat the first leg scenario against the leader.

The match will take place tomorrow, Saturday, at 7:30 PM at Duhok Stadium in the north of the country, in a real test of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's character this season, and a last chance for Duhok to catch their breath before entering the calculations of the final rounds.
