Achraf Boudrame Signs with Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya

Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya has officially announced the signing of Algerian defender Achraf Boudrame, who joins from Saudi club Al-Adalah, in a move aimed at strengthening the Falcons' defense ahead of the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

The club's management released an official statement to introduce the player, stating: "The Falcons fortify their defense... and the appointment with glory is set! The Algerian defender Achraf Boudrame arrives at the fortress of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, to become a new rock in the backline, symbolizing strength and stability."

Boudrame, 30 years old, has an extensive football career spanning Algeria, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia. He has previously represented CS Constantine and CR Belouizdad in Algeria, and had a stint with Club Bizertin in Tunisia, before moving to the Saudi league with Al-Qaisumah, and then to Al-Adalah.

This transfer has provided him with significant experience in dealing with attackers from various football schools, and he is known for his physical strength and toughness in challenges, as well as his proficiency in aerial duels. His experience in Arab leagues gives him an advantage in quickly adapting to the Iraqi league atmosphere.

Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya is preparing for a challenging season on two fronts: the Iraqi Premier League and the AFC Champions League. The management understands that Asian competition requires high-caliber defenders, and Boudrame possesses the necessary attributes.

The signing comes after local deals such as Zaid Ismail from Al-Talaba, aiming for a blend of local and foreign talent in the blue transfer market. Al-Jawiya seeks a defense that is not easily breached, especially after the departure of some key players and the inconsistency in defensive performance last season.
