Huge Offer for Barcelona to Play a Friendly Match in South Korea

FC Barcelona received a substantial financial offer to play a friendly match in South Korea, as part of the growing global interest in the Catalan club, amid numerous offers presented to them during the current period.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," Barcelona received an offer ranging between 9 and 10 million euros to play a single friendly match in South Korea, reflecting the growing international marketing value of the club.

Despite the significant financial allure, this offer faces a logistical challenge due to the long journey for just one match, especially since the club's plan this summer does not include an Asian tour but rather a training camp at St. George's Park, the headquarters of the English Football Association, near the city of Birmingham.

The matter is not limited to the Korean offer, as Barcelona has several other offers to play friendly matches, including a serious offer from Peru that can be completed at any time, valued between 7 and 8 million euros, in addition to another less serious offer to hold a match in Morocco for about 5 million euros.

The club also received an additional offer to play a friendly match on August 1 against Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. This option is of interest within the club due to the strength of the Italian team, providing the team with an opportunity to test its readiness before the start of the league competitions.

In a related context, the Spanish newspaper indicated that Barcelona had previously rejected an offer to play a friendly match in Libya on October 10 of last year, despite the possibility of earning around 5 million euros, preferring not to participate due to security reasons. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid agreed to play that match.
