Al-Ahly's management has resolved its stance regarding the future of team captain Mohamed El-Shenawy, affirming its commitment to keeping him and rejecting his departure at the end of the current season.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, Al-Ahly's management informed the international goalkeeper of their final decision, considering him one of the team's essential pillars and recognizing his leadership role in the locker room.

The reports indicated that the club plans to secure El Shenawy's future within the Red Castle by preparing him for an administrative or technical position after his retirement, in appreciation of his contributions to the team over the past years.

El-Shenawy continues to alternate as the goalkeeper for Al Ahly this season with Mostafa Shobeir, as the coaching staff relies on a rotation policy.
