The management of Al Ahly SC has made its final decision regarding the future of head coach Jes Torup, following the team's exit from the CAF Champions League at the hands of Tunisian club Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
Al-Ahly exited the tournament after losing the first leg 1-0, followed by another defeat with a score of 3-2 in the return leg, thus leaving the competition at the quarter-final stage.
According to the "Youm7" website, the club's management has decided to keep Torop in his position until the end of the current season, despite the decline in results and the exit from the continental championship.
The report clarified that the management's reversal of the dismissal decision is due to the large penalty clause in the coach's contract, which prompted them to postpone the final decision on his fate.
The experience of Torop is expected to be thoroughly evaluated after the conclusion of the Egyptian Premier League, before making a final decision regarding his continuation or departure from coaching the team.
