The "Youm7" newspaper reported that the management of Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club decided to negotiate with Al-Ahly to purchase Mohamed Magdy Afsha's contract permanently after ensuring that the leader of the North Coast remains in the Premier League and avoids the threat of relegation.

Afsha has delivered an outstanding performance with Al-Ittihad since joining them on loan from Al-Ahly during the last winter transfer window.

Afsha contributed to distancing the union from the danger zones and the threat of relegation to the professional league.

Abdel Zaher El-Sakka, the sporting director of Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club, confirmed in a radio statement that Afsha wants to continue with Al-Ittihad Alexandria because of his attachment to the fans of the Thaghr Leader.
