Kouparis said, "We played a great match, especially on the defensive side. We knew coming here wasn't easy, as the stadium puts a lot of pressure on the opponent, and we had to be at the peak of our focus throughout the match."

The Barcelona defender spoke about the goal scored by Harvey Barnes for Newcastle, explaining: "A small detail cost us the goal. I tried to understand what happened from the bench at that moment," after Ronald Araújo failed to arrive in time to cover his defensive area, allowing the Newcastle striker to score at the far post.

Kouparsi also admitted that the team did not deliver the required performance offensively, saying: "We were not at our best in attack. Sometimes you have to step back a little or maintain a medium defensive block to achieve a good result."

He added: "We have players capable of making a difference in the front line and they can unsettle the opponent at any moment. Dani Olmo came in and delivered what was required of him."

The young defender addressed the team's physical condition, stating: "We are coming off weeks filled with intense matches, and we were feeling some fatigue. We had to know when to press and when to hold back because we can't press for the full 90 minutes. We faced a physically strong team, but we were looking to achieve a good result."

Kouparsi concluded his remarks by praising his young teammate Xavi Espart, who made his debut with the first team, saying: "I have shared many moments with Xavi.
