Lewandowski Gives Himself 3 Months to Decide His Future with Barcelona
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that the future of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski with Barcelona remains open, as his contract with the Catalan club is set to expire next June.
According to the newspaper, Lewandowski spoke about his future during an interview with "Sky Sports," confirming that he does not feel any pressure to make a quick decision regarding his next move.
Lewandowski said: "The good thing is that I don't feel the pressure. When you're 30 years old or a little younger, that feeling is different, but at the moment I don't have to make a decision now."
The Polish striker added: "I have patience, and I will give myself about three months to make a decision about what I want to do. I am the only one who will decide."
In the same context, the newspaper indicated that Joan Laporta also spoke about the future of the Polish striker during an interview with RAC1 radio.
Laporta responded to the talk about the possibility of the player's departure by saying: "You are the one saying he won't continue. I want Lewandowski to continue his career with us, but the decision is up to the sports management led by Deco."
He added: "We can sign a number 9 striker who works well with Ferran, who can play in several positions, as well as with Lewandowski, who can occupy the position of a traditional striker."
