Al Ahly Considers Modifying Torup's Team
Wednesday 04-03-2026
A press report revealed movements within Al-Ahly to make changes to the first team's coaching staff, led by Danish coach Jes Thorup, in the upcoming period.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, Al-Ahly's management is considering adding an Egyptian performance analyst to the coaching staff, along with proposing the idea of the return of Emad El-Nahhas, the former head coach of Al-Zawraa in Iraq, to work within the supporting team.

The newspaper clarified that the idea of Nuhas's return has not yet reached a stage of full seriousness, but it is proposed as one of the scenarios under consideration, in anticipation of the possibility of Torop's departure at the end of the season, given the decline in results and doubts within the management about his technical abilities.

In a related context, the "Win Win" platform indicated that Al-Ahly's management is considering Hossam El-Badry, the coach of Libya's Al-Ahly Tripoli, as a candidate to take over the responsibility if a decision is made to part ways with Torup. This comes especially as there are voices within the club dissatisfied with the team's recent performance, although no official decision has been made yet.
