A report by the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' revealed that Barcelona defender, Eric Garcia, requested to be substituted in the 73rd minute of the team's match against Girona, and was replaced by Ronald Araujo after feeling pain in his left hamstring.

The medical examinations conducted on him on Tuesday, according to the newspaper, confirmed that there was no injury, which led the club to not issue an official medical statement.

The newspaper mentioned that Garcia will be able to rest for the next two days, as coach Hans Flick gave the players a break following two consecutive losses against Atletico Madrid and Girona, before facing Levante next Sunday at the Spotify Camp Nou.

The newspaper pointed out that the player, who has played 57 consecutive official matches, will miss the return leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, March 3, but Flick will be able to rely on him in the upcoming La Liga matches, unless symptoms worsen.
