The Danish coach, Jes Thorup, of Al Ahly club, intends to reinstate Imam Ashour into the starting lineup for the match against El Gouna, scheduled for next Thursday, as part of the 18th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Imam Ashour returned to participate with Al Ahly in the match against Morocco's Royal Army in the final round of the group stage of the African Champions League, following the end of his two-week suspension from training. He was also fined one and a half million pounds for failing to travel to Tanzania to face Young Africans.

According to press reports, Torob has decided to start Ashour against El Gouna, given the need for his technical skills in midfield, especially after regaining full fitness and resolving his recent issue.

Al Ahly drew 0-0 with the Royal Army, securing the top spot in Group B and advancing to the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, which gives the coaching staff a morale boost before resuming the local league campaign.
