Media personality Ahmed Hassan revealed the latest developments in Aliou Dieng's contract renewal with Al Ahly club.
Hassan stated on Facebook: "A source in Al Ahly: We have not held new sessions to renew Aliou Dieng's contract, and the matter is currently on hold, as the player has offers with significantly higher financial value compared to ours."
Al Ahly will face Morocco's Royal Army this Sunday evening in the sixth round of the African Champions League.
Al Ahly had already secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the tournament in the previous round.
