Soon.. Belamri in Al-Ahli's League List
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed that Youssef Belamri, an Al Ahly player, is close to being included in Al Ahly's Premier League squad.
In a radio statement, Shobeir said that Ahmed Nabil Kouka no longer has anything to offer in the left-back position, indicating the difficulty of his continuation in this role due to the player's discomfort with it, and confirming that he has exhausted all attempts to adapt to this position.
Shobeir continued that the solutions available to Yis Torup, Al-Ahly's coach, to solve the left-back crisis are limited to three names: starting with relying on Karim Fouad as happened in the match against JS Kabylie, or using Mohamed Shoukry in his primary position, and finally the option of the new arrival, Youssef Belamri.
Shobeir stated that Torop wants to utilize Youssef Belamri's abilities in a new position in the attacking midfield. He pointed out that the biggest obstacle is the player's lack of match fitness due to his absence from official games since last November, a break that has lasted about four months.
He concluded his remarks by noting the possibility of Youssef Belamri being present in the upcoming match against Ismaily; the player is close to being included in the team's league roster for the first time. However, the decision to play him as a starter remains in the hands of Jes Thorup, who will weigh the option of either taking a risk by playing him immediately or easing him back gradually.
