Jordanian goalkeeper Mohammad Al-Amwasi, player of Najaf team, revealed an important feature in the Iraqi Stars League after his second consecutive appearance in the competition since his transfer to the team from the Jordanian club Al-Salt.

Al-Amwasi played two matches with Najaf against Zakho and Al-Shorta, during which he conceded four goals, but he managed to attract attention thanks to the levels he presented despite the difficulty of both encounters.

Al-Amwasi said that his team played a great match against Al-Shorta in the last round, confirming that the match was complicated due to the strength of the opponent, but he stressed at the same time that Najaf did not deserve to lose, which was the same case, according to him, in the Zakho match.

He added that there are small details that may affect match results, pointing out that refereeing is one of these factors that need careful review to reduce errors and avoid the injustice that some teams may face, which will positively reflect on Iraqi football in general.

He explained that football in Iraq is characterized by a clear offensive nature from the first minutes, as most teams strive to score and win instead of defensive retreat, considering that this approach gives the competition great excitement and raises the level of competition.

He completed by saying that the presence of fans represents one of the strongest points of the league, as it provides additional motivation for players to give their best, noting that the tournament includes high-level professionals, expecting it to continue developing in the coming years.

He pointed out his great comfort in Iraq, praising the generosity of the Iraqi people and their willingness to help, and expressed his admiration for Iraqi cuisine after trying many dishes, confirming that his experience so far is distinctive on both sports and personal levels.

Despite Najaf's losses in the past two matches, the Jordanian goalkeeper received technical praise from coaches and analysts, as he looks forward to leading his team to better results and contributing to avoiding relegation this season, especially in light of recent decisions allowing clubs to sign more professionals, including foreign goalkeepers.
