The Air Force team achieved a new victory in the Iraq Stars League, after defeating its guest Najaf with a score of 2-0 in a match that saw a clear advantage for the host since the starting whistle, as part of the twentieth round of the championship, at the International City Stadium.

The match began with clear dominance from the Air Force side, which imposed its rhythm from the first minutes, possessing most of the ball, while Najaf tried to organize its counter-attacks without posing a significant threat to the goal of the leading team.

In the 24th minute, Mohammed Jawad succeeded in scoring the opening goal for the Falcons, taking advantage of an excellent pass from his teammate inside the penalty area, allowing the Air Force to advance with a clean goal and close the first half with this result amid almost complete control over the course of the game.

At the start of the second half, the Air Force continued its pressure on Najaf's defense, and Omani Issam Al-Sabhi was able to score the second goal in the 49th minute, after an organized attack and great understanding with his teammates, which gave the team great comfort in the course of the match.

Najaf tried to reduce the difference and get back into the game, but the Air Force defense remained steadfast, and the goalkeeper responded to all attempts, maintaining a clean sheet until the final whistle.

With this victory, the Air Force continued its impressive results and achieved its seventh consecutive victory, raising its tally to 46 points at the top of the Iraq Stars League standings, while Najaf continued to struggle, occupying 19th place with 10 points, second to last, emphasizing the need to improve its performance in the upcoming rounds to avoid relegation.
