Najaf Coach: Ready to Face Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and We Will Play for the Three Points
The technical staff of Najaf Club confirmed their team's readiness to face the league leader Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, as part of the 20th round of the Iraqi Stars League, stressing that the team is determined to deliver a great match despite the difficult circumstances the club is experiencing this season.
Najaf coach Samer Saeed said in the press conference preceding the match:
“We have prepared well for the Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya match, as they are a leading team and a strong contender for the title, but we have a good team that is starting to enter a phase of harmony, and there is a clear improvement in the physical and tactical aspects recently.”
He added: “For me as a coach, we will play this match for the three points, and we will not enter the match with a defensive mentality only. We know the strength of the competitor, but we trust the capabilities of our players and their ability to deliver a level that befits the name of Najaf.”
Saeed pointed out that his team often appears well against popular teams, explaining:
“Najaf is used to delivering great matches against widely popular teams, and this gives the players an additional motivation to prove themselves. We want to invest in this encounter to regain confidence and correct the course.”
For his part, team player Hussein Abbas confirmed that the spirit within the team is high despite the challenges, saying:
“Despite the circumstances the club is going through, our preparations for this match were good, and the players are determined to come out of this crisis with the cooperation of everyone, whether management, technical staff, or players.”
He added: “Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya is a big and respected team, but Najaf Club will appear in a manner befitting its name and its large fan base. We know the task is difficult, but we will fight on the field to achieve a positive result that will make our supporters happy.”
Najaf enters the match with the ambition of overturning expectations and achieving a surprise against the leader, relying on the players' desire to regain balance and escape the spiral of negative results, while Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya seeks to maintain its lead and take an additional step towards securing the title.
