Firmin Lopez continues his remarkable performance with Barcelona under the leadership of coach Hans Flick, having become a decisive element in the attacking system, as confirmed by the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' following his outstanding performance against Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League.

According to the newspaper, the player scored a crucial double that kept Barcelona in the match, first equalizing before giving his team the lead, directly contributing to enhancing the team's chances of finishing the league phase among the top eight and avoiding the playoffs.

The newspaper pointed out that UEFA awarded Firmin the Man of the Match award for the second time in his European appearances this season, having previously received it against Olympiacos, in a match where he scored three goals.

The report confirmed that Firmin has become a player with double figures this season, having raised his tally to 10 goals and 10 assists, directly contributing to 20 out of 84 goals scored by Barcelona in all competitions, noting that only Lamine Yamal matches him in terms of scoring impact.

The newspaper added that the Andalusian player has emerged as the most capable of reading the flow of matches, whether starting or coming on as a substitute, benefiting from the confidence Flick gives him and his precise execution of tactical instructions.

The report confirmed that five of Firmin's ten goals came in the UEFA Champions League, making him Barcelona's top scorer in the continental competition this season, and affirming his transformation into one of the team's key players at the beginning of 2026.
