The Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that FC Barcelona is currently considering the option of loaning young midfielder Marc Bernal until the end of the 2025/2026 season, with the aim of giving him the opportunity to play regularly and gain more experience to further his technical and physical development.

Bernal is considered one of La Masia's most outstanding talents in the defensive midfield position. He caught attention early on with the first team thanks to his tactical maturity, passing accuracy, and ability to read the game despite his young age, which led to him being regarded as one of Barcelona's future prospects in midfield.

However, the promising player's career suffered a major setback after he sustained a serious knee injury (a torn ACL), which kept him off the field for nearly a full year. This halted his development and interrupted the momentum he had built with the first team, making his return to competition require time and consistent playing minutes.

Although the club is considering loaning him out, Bernal prefers to stay at Barcelona and fight for his chance with the team, contributing as much as possible whenever given the opportunity, while awaiting a final decision from the management and coaching staff regarding his near future.
