Media personality Ibrahim Abdel Jawad revealed Al Ahly's desire to sign one of Pyramids' stars in response to the Sky Team's signing of Hamed Hamdan, the star of Petrojet and the Palestine national team.
Al Ahly failed to sign Hamed Hamdan after a long period of negotiations, and Pyramids successfully secured the player's transfer.
Abdel Jawad stated in remarks on the program "On Stadium" that Mahmoud Bentayak, the Zamalek star, is close to joining Raja Casablanca if his dues at Zamalek are not settled, as a replacement for Youssef Belamri, who is finalizing his transfer to Al Ahly.
Al Ahly is currently preparing to face Pharco on Saturday, January 10th, in the sixth round of the group stage of the Egypt Capital Cup.
