UEFA Imposes Harsh Penalty on Eintracht Frankfurt
The Union of European Football Associations issued a strict decision against Eintracht Frankfurt due to the behavior of its fans during the UEFA Champions League match against Barcelona on December 9, 2025, at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium.
The Spanish club stated in its report, which UEFA relied upon, that the German team's fans ignited fireworks, caused damage to the stadium fence, and threw objects into the stands, which led UEFA to activate the suspended disciplinary sanction issued by the Control, Ethics, and Disciplinary Body on February 4, 2025.
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" added that the decision includes a ban on selling tickets to Eintracht Frankfurt fans outside their stadium for the first two upcoming European matches.
