The Spanish newspaper 'Sport' confirmed that Dani Olmo, midfielder of Barcelona, is suffering from a shoulder injury he sustained during the team's match against Atlético Madrid, after scoring the second goal for the Blaugrana, which will lead to his absence from the field for no less than a month.

The newspaper explained that the club decided to follow a precise and cautious recovery plan for the player, avoiding surgical intervention temporarily to reduce the risk of relapse and ensure the long-term safety of the shoulder. Barcelona aims for Olmo to return to the field able to compete safely, especially during the crucial stage of the season that will determine the most important titles.

It is worth mentioning that Olmo previously underwent shoulder surgery with RB Leipzig in 2023, which kept him off the field for two months. If he now needs surgery, his absence could reach around four months, meaning missing the rest of the season and possibly the upcoming summer World Cup with the Spanish national team.

Olmo is expected to return to participate with the team in the Catalan derby match against Espanyol on Saturday, January 3, if the recovery plan proceeds normally without any complications.
