The Disciplinary Committee confirmed the suspension of Marcos Sorg, assistant coach at FC Barcelona, and José Ramón de la Fuente, goalkeeping coach, for two matches following their protests during the team's game against Alavés at Spotify Camp Nou last Saturday.

De La Fuente was sent off in the 65th minute of the match due to his violent protest from the bench against the first assistant referee regarding a decision made during the game. Meanwhile, Sorg was sent off in the final minute after leaving his seat and making protest gestures towards the referee about a match decision.

Their suspension came in accordance with Article 127 of the Disciplinary Code of the Spanish Football Federation, which states that protesting against the main referee, assistant referee, or fourth official, as long as it does not constitute a more serious offense, is punishable by a suspension of two to three matches or for up to one month.

Therefore, Sorg and De la Fuente were not present in Barcelona's match against Atlético Madrid held yesterday, and they will also not participate in the upcoming game against Real Betis on Saturday at La Cartuja Stadium. They are expected to rejoin the team for the match against Osasuna on December 13 at Spotify Camp Nou.
