Sports journalist Gamal El-Ghandour revealed, citing a source inside Al Ahly club, that coach Jes Thorup welcomes the club signing Hamid Hamdan, the star of Petrojet, on the condition that Ahmed Reda leaves the team.

Al-Ghandour explained on his program "Stad Al-Mahwar" that the source confirmed Torop told the management that he sees no problem in including Hamdan while keeping the Malian player Aliou Dieng on the team, as the Malian star is considered an essential and indispensable element at the moment.

Al-Ghandour pointed out that the final decision will be in the hands of the planning committee in coordination with the football sector, especially since the file of outgoing players is still under review to determine the final list before the official moves begin in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Al Ahly will face Morocco's FAR Rabat this evening, Friday, in the second round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
