Tebas: I Have Three Criminal Lawsuits, and Everything Will End with Nothing
Sunday 23-11-2025
Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish League Association, strongly responded to the decision of the Administrative Court for Sports to open a case against him following a complaint accusing him of breaching confidentiality by revealing the financial data of FC Barcelona, affirming that the case will end with nothing, according to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

Tebas explained in a message he posted on his account on the social media platform formerly known by that name, saying: "This is not the first time I have faced similar actions. I have seen this movie many times. I have three criminal cases against me, and I don't remember the number of complaints filed with the Supreme Sports Council, in addition to dozens of correction requests from some noisy platforms."

Despite the investigation being opened, the president of the Spanish League Association emphasized that he will not change his approach: "The strategy is clear: to overwhelm with lawsuits in the hope that one might be accepted. As for me, I will continue my work in serving professional football, and the rest will end as they have before—with nothing."

The administrative sports court took action following a complaint filed by Miguel Galán, head of the National Center for Football Coaches Training in Spain, who accused Tebas of disclosing information related to the issue of VIP seats at Camp Nou and the registration of player Dani Olmo. Galán stated that Tebas should be suspended from work, citing the precedent of the suspension of Ángel María Villar, the former president of the Spanish Football Federation.

For his part, Barcelona president Joan Laporta considered that opening a case against Tebas is not good news, although he confirmed that the relationship between the club and the Spanish League Association is currently stable despite recent disagreements.
