Details of Fenerbahçe's Negotiations with Lewandowski
Turkish media reports have indicated Fenerbahçe's interest in acquiring the services of Polish star Robert Lewandowski from Spanish club Barcelona, as the player's contract approaches its end in the summer of 2026.
According to the Turkish newspaper "Fotomac," Fenerbahçe's management has initiated its first contacts with the player in an attempt to finalize one of the club's major deals under the leadership of President Saadeddin Saran. The newspaper explained that the sports management conducted preliminary talks with Lewandowski to discuss the details of the expected contract should a final agreement be reached.
Reports indicated that Fenerbahçe offered the player a contract lasting one and a half years, while the Polish striker is demanding a contract extending for two and a half years, due to his desire for a stable project and guaranteed regular playing time during the final stages of his professional career.
Lewandowski, who is 37 years old, is also attracting interest from Italian club AC Milan and major Saudi league clubs, reflecting the great value the player holds despite his advancing age.
It is worth mentioning that Lewandowski transferred from Bayern Munich to Barcelona in the summer of 2022 for 45 million euros and has scored 7 goals in 12 matches this season with the Catalan team, marking a strong start to his journey with Blaugrana.
