Messi: I imagined I would stay with Barcelona forever
Argentinian star Lionel Messi, player of Inter Miami, spoke about his departure from his former club Barcelona in 2021, which was a great shock to him and his fans.
The Catalan newspaper Sport reported Messi's comments where he said: "I felt a strange feeling. I ended up playing my last season without fans due to the pandemic."
He added: "I did not leave the way I dreamed. I imagined playing my entire career at Barcelona."
He also mentioned: "My kids and my wife constantly talk about Barcelona and the idea of living there again; we have our home there and that's what we want."
He followed up: "I keep following Barcelona constantly, and I've done that since I was with Paris Saint-Germain."
