Thorup: Our Goal is Clear, which is to Reach the Final Match
Danish coach Jess Thorup of Al Ahly confirmed that the team's goal is to reach the final match of the Egyptian Super Cup.
Al-Ahly will face Ceramica Cleopatra today, Thursday, in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup.
In the press conference before the match, Torb said: "This is my first time attending the Egyptian Super Cup, but I have been to the UAE before for training camps with teams. I hope this will be an opportunity to achieve a new title with Al Ahly... After the last match, I confirmed that we are always working on improving our performance, and we continuously look to the next step to provide the best."
He added, "I am very excited to see the Al-Ahly fans in the stands tomorrow against Ceramica Cleopatra... I know very well how passionate and enthusiastic they are, and I have witnessed their great support on previous occasions. I look forward to seeing them present in large numbers to cheer on the players with all their might."
Regarding the readiness of the team's players, Torb said: "Mohamed Sherif participated in yesterday's training, and Imam Ashour took part in part of the training."
He concluded his statements by saying: "Our goal is clear, which is to reach the final match by winning tomorrow's game... I always say that offense wins you matches, but strong defense is what creates championships, and that is what we strive to implement at every step."
