Polish international Robert Lewandowski, striker for FC Barcelona, spoke about his readiness after returning from injury during a press conference held before the match against Belgian club Club Brugge, as part of the fourth round of the group stage of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League season.

Regarding his physical condition after returning from injury, Lewandowski said: "I feel good after the injury, and physically I am in excellent shape. I played with the team three days ago, and the most important thing for me now is how I can help the team win tomorrow."

On his future with Barcelona, the Polish striker added: "As for my future, I am completely calm. Time is not important to me; there are more important matters now, such as the team, my national team, and how to achieve our goals. I focus only on giving my best in matches and titles."

Regarding past injuries and regaining full fitness, he continued: "I had some problems at the end of last season, but I am fine now. When you play many matches during the season, it is important to be at your best at critical times. I have had two injuries so far, but I have worked hard in the past two weeks, and I am now at my peak level."

He added: "If we play as one team, we will be dangerous and can win titles. From my experience, I know that calmness is essential, and I am confident that I can help the team. Let's see what will happen in the future."

On the secret of his quick return from injury, Lewandowski revealed: "I have missed many minutes of play this season, but joining the national team helped me a lot. The plan I followed was specifically designed for me, and the experience of the coaches helped me understand the optimal approach to return quickly."

He added: "I am very happy with how things have gone. I feel great, and I hope to continue playing at a high level until the end of the season. It doesn't matter how you start the season, but how you finish it. Passion and desire are the most important things that helped me overcome the injury."

Regarding his talks with Lamine Yamal, he explained: "I talk to Lamine Yamal a lot, but it's better not to talk about him too much publicly. He needs calm and more experience; what he is going through is normal for a player his age, and I prefer to speak with him privately, not through the media."

On Barcelona's performance this season, Lewandowski said: "As Coach Flick mentioned, there is some instability due to injuries. It is difficult for more than one player to be absent for a week or two or three. In football, there are moments when things do not go as we want, and that is normal, but the most important thing is to seize the moment when you win matches. Winning and playing well is normal in football, especially after a great season like the last one when we played at our maximum capacity."

Regarding his teammate Marcus Rashford, the Polish star praised his new teammate, saying: "Marcus Rashford has great potential since his time at Manchester United. We have talked a lot since his first day here, and I believe he is capable of helping the team a lot."

Lewandowski concluded his statements by saying: "He is playing well, and I believe we can be better over time. The more stable we become, the stronger we will be with Marcus and the rest of the players."
