Royal Army: Al Ahly the Strongest in Our Group
Monday 03-11-2025
Youssef Blawi, the Secretary General of the Royal Army Club in Morocco, stated in an interview with "Al-Masry Al-Youm" that the Egyptian Al Ahly club is the strongest in its group in the African Champions League.

The draw for the group stage of the African Champions League placed the Royal Army in the same group as: Egyptian Al Ahly, Young Africans from Tanzania, and JS Kabylie from Algeria.

Blawi explained: "Egyptian Al Ahly is the most decorated club in the history of the tournament, possessing extensive experience and high-caliber players. Young Africans are the runners-up of the Confederation Cup in 2023, a fast and tactically organized team with emerging players, while JS Kabylie is a historic team with a large fan base and poses a tough challenge, especially on their home ground."

He added: "We understand that the competition will be fierce, but we have a cohesive team that combines experience and ambition, and we will work hard to achieve positive results both on and off the field to reach the quarter-finals, especially since we have a wonderful and amazing audience that is the main support for the team and its true source of strength."

Blawi concluded: "We have great respect for all our opponents, but we believe in the capabilities of our players and our technical staff, and that the Royal Army is capable of representing Moroccan football in the best way, moving confidently and focused towards the advanced stages of the competition."
