Turub: I am satisfied with the collective performance despite the result
Yess Turub, the head coach of Al Ahly, expressed his regret for the draw against Petrojet in today's league match.
The match ended in a positive draw with a score of 1-1, which took place as part of the 12th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Turub said in the press conference following the match: "I feel frustrated after losing two points that were within reach. We were not at our best focus during the confrontations, and this cost us the goal we conceded from a set piece, even though the opponent did not have real chances except for two balls throughout the match."
He added: "We created many chances during the last 60 minutes, but we did not exploit them as we should. Football is decided by goals, and to score you have to create chances, and we did that but luck was not on our side."
He spoke about his attacking choices, saying: "It’s not just about the striker; we do not rely on one striker. We started the match with Taher Mohamed Taher and then brought in Nits Gradyshar in the second half, and both moved well."
Turub expressed his satisfaction with the Red team's performance despite the result, saying: "Aside from the result, I am satisfied with the collective performance. We played good football, especially in the second half, and we managed to correct some mistakes that I talked about during halftime, such as the weak link between the midfield and the attack."
