The Truth About Pyramids' Negotiations with Aliou Dieng
Media figure Ahmed Shobair revealed the truth about Pyramids Club's negotiations with Al Ahly star Aliou Dieng.
Shobair said in radio statements: "There is a very important story, and take my word for it from trusted sources within Pyramids Club, and what I will say is on the authority of a very senior official at Pyramids."
He explained: "For several days now, we have been hearing that Pyramids is negotiating Dieng and offered him, I don't know, 2 million dollars, and some say 3 million dollars, and we opened a bidding war. So this Pyramids official told me verbatim that this era has ended; we will not negotiate with any player even if there are months left on his contract unless we speak with his club."
He continued: "The official also told me that the war with Al Ahly has ended, and we seek to have a good relationship with all clubs, especially Al Ahly. We are not in conflicts and do not want to get into fights; we are open-handed and welcoming to everyone."
Shobair concluded: "So I asked him about the story of 2 and 3 million dollars, and he told me these figures are not in our calculations at all. I asked him, 'What will you pay him then?' He replied, 'He's my player, and I want to keep him, and it's my right to pamper him, and we have finalized the agreement with him; we just need the contract to be approved by the club management.'
