Union Coach Comments on Loss to Al-Ahly
Tamer Mustafa, the head coach of the Alexandria Union team, commented on the loss to Al-Ahly in today's match.
Union lost to Al-Ahly with a score of 2-1 in a match held today, Wednesday, in the 11th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Tamer Mustafa said in the press conference after the match: "The chances we had in the first half were more than Al-Ahly's, even though we lost possession. We wanted to keep Al-Ahly's players away from dangerous areas and play on counterattacks and transitions."
He added: "The result is not satisfactory for us, but I am happy with the players' reaction after the second goal and their determination to attack and not give up on the result."
He continued: "I was keen to pressure Marwan Attia because he is the key player for Al-Ahly and has an important role in building attacks."
He concluded: "Al-Ahly is a big and respectable club, and I will not get into refereeing details because I have a lot to say, but we were subjected to great injustice today, and I don't know how to speak because all the referees are my brothers."
