Saturday 18-10-2025
Yassin Marai, Al Ahly player, expressed his happiness with the victory his team achieved over Burundi's Eagle Noir today, Saturday.

Al Ahly secured a 1-0 victory against Eagle Noir in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.

Yassin Marai confirmed that the victory came at an important time and gave everyone a strong boost to start the continental journey.

Marai stated in his remarks to the club's official website after the match: "Achieving victory away from home in the first appearance of the new coaching staff is an important step that gives the players great confidence in what is to come. The match was difficult due to the high temperature and the condition of the pitch, but we were more focused and determined to win, and we succeeded in keeping our goal clean to ease the task in Cairo for the return leg."

He added: "We are in a phase that requires intense focus and continuity in achieving positive results, and today's victory reflects the team's spirit and its desire to continue winning both locally and in Africa."

He concluded: "Coach Yis Torop expressed his happiness with the first win in the tournament and praised the players' performance in the first half, but he asked us to continue working and focusing, and to put in more effort in the upcoming phase so that we can continue winning and achieve what the Al Ahly fans expect."
