Danish coach Yes Torup, the head coach of Al Ahly club, confirmed that his team played a good match against Eagle Noir in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.

Torup said: "Modern football does not know the meaning of an easy match, and I spoke about this yesterday in the press conference before the match, and I confirmed that we will face a strong confrontation against an organized team that has great motivations."

He added: "Today's match is considered the first half of the confrontation, and the team has a second half in Cairo where we will work with the coaching staff and players to achieve victory and qualify for the group stage."

He continued: "We had a good first half, and we succeeded in reaching the goal and creating several opportunities, but I am not completely satisfied with the team's performance in the second half, as we gave the opponent a chance to advance and attempt to threaten our goal."
