In the press conference held on Friday, Barcelona's head coach, Hans Flick, talked about the team's preparations for the derby against Girona at the Montjuïc Stadium, pointing out the challenges the team faces due to injuries.

Regarding the start of the match and the required performance, Flick said: "We need to start the match well, in a different way than we did against Sevilla, I want to see a change, we have to fight."

On the team players Lamine Yamal and Fermín López, Flick confirmed: "We need to find solutions and manage the situation, that is our job, La Masia academy players may get their chance, as well as players who have not had many minutes of play so far."

He spoke about the condition of the team players, saying: "Lamine Yamal and Fermín have returned, but they cannot play the full ninety minutes yet."

Regarding the injuries the team is suffering from, Flick said: "Raphinha is on the right track, we hope he will be ready for El Clásico."

He added about the team's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, saying: "I don't think there is a player who takes care of his body better than Lewandowski, at his age, no one is in such great physical condition, this is not good news, but we have to deal with it."

Flick emphasized the importance of spirit and commitment on the field: "We need to be at our highest level and play our best football, we need to show attitude and spirit on the pitch, we are Barcelona, and our fans want to see the team fighting for every ball."

Flick concluded his statements with an optimistic note: "This break in October may be good for us, we have a series of upcoming matches, and I told the players that we must fight for every title, playing our best football to win, that is what I want from this team."
