Al Ahly Doctor Reveals Updates on Ashraf Dari's Injury and Specifies Absence Duration
Ahmed Gaballah, the doctor of the Egyptian Al Ahly football club, revealed the latest updates regarding the injuries of the team's players following the resumption of training on Wednesday, after a two-day negative rest, and before traveling to Burundi early Thursday morning.
Gaballah explained in television statements that "the number of injured players in the team has decreased from five to four, after Ahmed Reda recovered from a knee injury and returned to participate in group training."
Regarding the condition of Moroccan defender Ashraf Dari, the Al Ahly doctor stated: "The player was suffering from an injury to the adductor muscle, and his condition was monitored in coordination with the medical staff of the Moroccan national team, but he suffered a new injury at the origin of the adductor muscle with the lower abdominal muscle during training."
He added: "Dari has been injected with the necessary treatment, and he is currently continuing his rehabilitation program, and the absence period will not be less than two weeks, after which tests and scans will be repeated to assess his response to the treatment."
Dari is considered one of the key elements in Al Ahly's defensive system, and he has recently missed participation with the team due to repeated injuries since joining the Cairo club from French club Brest.
