Media figure Ahmed Shobeir spoke about the reactions of Al Ahly fans regarding the appointment of Danish coach Yas Sorob as the team's technical director.

Shobeir said during his radio statements today, Sunday: "There is a very warm welcome from Al Ahly fans to the new coach Yas Sorob, and to be honest, the fans were not satisfied with the Spanish Ribeiro from the beginning, and they had concerns, but they said they would support the board in its choice until the end."

He added: "It's not just that Ribeiro left and that's it, but I am also convinced of him, and in the end, these are different perspectives."

Shobeir concluded his statements: "The fans now see that Al Ahly did not settle for a less qualified coach, and they have a very strong sense of optimism about Yas Sorob."
