Flick's Solutions to Compensate for Dani Olmo's Absence
Saturday 11-10-2025
The German coach Hans Flick is facing a new crisis in Barcelona following the injury of Spanish star Dani Olmo, who will be sidelined for several weeks due to a muscle problem in his leg, complicating the team's preparations ahead of a series of important matches against Girona in La Liga, Olympiacos in the Champions League, and then Real Madrid in the Clasico at the Bernabeu.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," Olmo's injury puts Flick in a difficult position, especially since the player has been one of the key elements recently, having started four of the last five matches and completed ninety minutes in three of them.

The newspaper pointed out that Flick's options are limited due to the continued absence of Gavi and Lamine Yamal, while Rafinha and Fermín López have not yet recovered from their muscle injuries, making their participation against Girona uncertain.

According to the report, Flick is considering relying on Pedri in the attacking midfield position as a primary option, with the possibility of including Ferran Torres or even Roni Bardhi to compensate for Olmo's absence, and he is also contemplating giving opportunities to some young players like Drew.

The Spanish newspaper confirms that Olmo's injury represents a significant problem for the coaching staff in Barcelona, at a time when Flick is striving to maintain the team's stability and continue its positive results in the upcoming period.
