Friday 10-10-2025
The Danish coach Yas Sorob, the new technical director of Al Ahly, stated that he knows the club always strives for victory only and confirmed that he will seek to achieve more successes and achievements with the team.

He explained during the press conference held today: "I am very happy, many of the club officials are mostly former football players, and I spoke with Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, the club president, and we both played as forwards, and we discussed many points concerning the team."

He added: "I have learned a lot about Al Ahly, and I know that it is a team that always aims for victory only, and I personally agree with this matter, and I will do my utmost to develop the players and maintain what has been achieved in terms of history and continue the journey to achieve more successes and achievements. I am very eager to get to know the players, and I know that the team is about to play a very important match in a few days."

He continued: "I will have 5 assistants in the coaching staff, and our only goal is to win and achieve championships, which is the true meaning of football. I have gotten used to working in large clubs in Europe, and I have participated in the Champions League, and I know that the task with Al Ahly is not easy, and I have gotten used to working under pressure."

He added: "Al Ahly has played 3 matches in the Club World Cup and made a great effort despite not achieving the desired result, and now I am here to work on achieving the accomplishments that the club aims for. I had many offers in the past period, which is normal after working in the German league, which is considered one of the strongest competitions in Europe, and I have achieved many successes with it, and it is natural for me to receive offers from different countries around the world."

Sorob hinted that he felt a great interest as soon as he received the offer to coach Al Ahly, and with the discussions, the negotiations developed through a club delegation that traveled to Denmark, and he is proud to be part of this great entity.
