Media personality Ahmed Hassan revealed the latest developments in Al Ahly's negotiations with Portuguese coach Bruno Lage.
Hassan stated via his personal account on Facebook: "A source in Al Ahly: We have reached a final agreement with Portuguese Bruno Lage on the terms of the contract, but the coach is weighing between Al Ahly's offer and another European offer and has requested a 48-hour period to think and make his final decision."
Coach Jose Ribeiro had left his position at Al Ahly due to poor results, and Emad Nassar was appointed as the interim coach until a new head coach is contracted.
The Red team is currently preparing to face their traditional rival Zamalek next Monday in the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
