Bruno Guimarães: Excited to Face Barcelona, and We Don't Limit Our Dreams
Bruno Guimarães, Newcastle United's midfielder, spoke during the press conference for his team's upcoming match against Barcelona in the first round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, set to take place at St. James' Park.
Guimarães said: "Football is a profession, and Isak has left; we wish him success. I thank him for everything he has done with us, but now it’s time to focus on the future. We are very excited for tomorrow."
He added: "We have big ambitions this season, and I always strive to make history with Newcastle. Qualifying for the Champions League twice in three years is amazing, but there is still a lot more to offer."
He continued: "My relationship with Tonali is excellent; we complement each other on the pitch and enjoy playing together. I see him as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and we need to prove that in the Champions League."
He pointed out: "The midfield is the heart of the team; we need to attack, defend, build play, and score goals. It’s great to share the pitch with outstanding players."
He went on: "Vultmaide is a young talent, and I am very impressed with him. He has shown great levels in training, even though he still needs to adapt to the pace of the Premier League. I saw him cramp up after 45 minutes, which is strange, but scoring in his debut was an unforgettable moment."
He concluded: "I always strive to deliver the best version of Bruno to serve the team. I don’t hide in any match, and I believe this is one of my most important qualities."
He finished: "We don’t want to limit our dreams; we will take each match as it comes and hope to reach as far as possible in the Champions League."
